Bigshot takes your idea from Sketch to Product
From sketch…
… to product
Before a show is a break-out hit, before a character goes viral, and before the world falls in love with the IP, there is a lot of work behind the scenes that no one sees. It all starts out with a spark and an idea.
Bigshot is the first point of contact and experience for many artists, agencies and brands as they start out on their character merchandising journey. Here are some of the creative partners that we helped along the way:
Ron English
MC Supersized started with a sketch
Starting with the loose sketch seen here, we had the honor of helping Ron define the design and personality of his iconic MC Supersized in 3D.
We help independent creators, visual artists and iconic brands turn their loose concepts, brainstorms and “napkin sketches” into amazing, fully formed sculptures, digital assets and award winning consumer products and character goods.
Sun Bum
Ashley Wood
Taking cues from Ashley Wood’s incredible paintings, we sculpted and produced “Bertie the Pipe Bomb” for his nascent toy company ThreeA: one of the most memorable, category-defining collectible robots in the toy industry.
Gary Baseman
From two thoughtful concept sketches to one of the most unique vessels in the brand’s history, we helped Gary Baseman realize his glorious vision for this 1800 Tequila bottle collaboration.
Frank Kozik x Frank Frazetta
It only took a sentence (“Death Dealer Labbit, official Frazetta collab”) and a simple sketch for us to take Frank Kozik’s idea into the Valhalla of the most rare and coveted collectibles in Kidrobot’s history.
Rick and Morty
We were engaged early on in the development of all 3D assets for Rick and Morty by our friends at Adult Swim. Our unique ability to develop and manage the IP’s 3D asset library enabled us to help Adult Swim create consistency across their diverse product lines and activations. With fast approval times and licensing partner happiness, our Rick & Morty work has been very rewarding.
More for WBD & Turner
Building on the success of our work on Rick and Morty, Turner and WBD asked us to help repeat the formula for multiple IPs and global activations. These subsequent projects lead to nearly a decade of successful activations, product launches and fan engagement.
Josh Mayhem
When Josh Mayhem wanted to create a sculptural complement to his iconic kinetic style, we were happy to oblige with this “Blown Away Guy” art object.
Frank Kozik
All Frank had to say was “Skeletal Colonel Sanders” and we were able to craft a highly memorable and talked-about vinyl figure. Through a robust back and forth about the possibilities of the concept, we were able to add unique, iconic swap-out parts like the Rooster head and more.
David Horvath
When we teamed up with our long time collaborator David Horvath on something unique, Yuna and “Dream Big Friends” was born. We took Yuna from David’s simple sketch to a robust category-defining collection of characters, figures, and lifestyle products.
Bungie
Our Destiny mini figures started as concept sketches and became an entire line of unique collectible characters released in multiple waves, making it into stores worldwide with amazing fan response.
Initially conceived as a promotional incentive reward for the Destiny 2 video game preorder, this highly collectible line of toys quickly became a fan favorite collectible form factor for Bungie.
